He was removed because of some sole reasons, and based on some past incidences of loss in forum funds due to the disappearance of the treasurer holder ( probably due to death ). To avoid this, the decision of returning the forum funds was taken and OG returned them clear handedly back to the forum. I don't think someone having a bad taste of ethics would do this in anyways. This is something to be appreciated not to be criticized upon.
Indeed. Not to mention the way the payouts were structured, the IRS was the biggest winner. I paid Uncle Sam and got stuck with massive (unclaimed) capital losses. I'm very happy to see the new setup is much more similar to the way NastyFans donations are distributed, and spreading it out amongst multiple users has the potential to reduce the amount of those funds that ends up being eaten by taxes, while simultaneously saving the forum quite a bit of money with the restructuring. I don't think anyone expected that I'd be getting 6 figure payouts when I offered to be the treasurer for a few dollars a month all those years ago, but that's what happened. I'm glad I got the chance to prove that I can be trusted with millions of dollars as that was a priceless opportunity most never get. It was literally a dream come true. I'm proud of the role I got to play and have no problem with my honest and honorable behavior being spotlighted.
While Vod is spotlighting my honorable behavior, I'd like to say this is the same guy who tried to "negotiate a settlement" with me and then dedicated a massive amount of his time to lying about my actions in an attempt to harm my reputation when I refused to "settle" whatever he felt I did wrong. I guess nobody sees a problem with someone making up a tax evasion story about someone in order to attempt to extort a settlement on behalf of a government revenue collection agency in another country?
