Caring about the environment is for pussies. You're supposed to eat raw meat and fart diesel fumes if you want to be a right wing Alpha in this day and age. If you want to prove yourself go bleach a coral reef and burn down a rain forest.
Hey. Don't denigrate raw meat.
I love raw meat and I'm not some knuckle-walking conservative redneck. Not some politically correct goody-two-shoes liberal either.
Alphas have better things to do with their time than waste it on politics.
Just call that raw meat "steak tartare" and you become a stuckup, white-wine-drinking card-carrying member of the liberal elite.
Can you just liquefy it?
Well yes, at very high pressures.
The current (type IV, the type V tanks are experimental) tanks hold it at 700bar, that is 10,000psi... ...
I started wondering what it would take to liquefy and store elemental hydrogen
according to the wikipedia liquid hydrogen page,
"To exist as a liquid, H2 must be cooled below hydrogen's critical point of 33 K."
So you can't store and ship liquid hydrogen on an industrial scale.
I read somewhere that current research and development aims to store hydrogen by infusing it into other materials, I don't remember what exactly, but maybe a polymer or something.
In other news,
You got to know when to hodl
Know when to fodl
Know when to wakl away...
(sung to the tune of The Gambler, by Kenny Rogers)
I think you might be misinformed, there are hydrogen gas stations in Norway and other places in Europe for hydrogen cars. One of them exploded due to a an incorrectly mounted plug in a high-pressure storage tank and they are, as far as I know, closed for the moment. But they are out there. Toyota planned to sell around runt 20 Mirai hydrogen cars in Norway this year, but the plans are on hold for the moment.
