This is for those who use wallets with cheap transaction fee, such as ethereum based wallets.
There are some who cannot yet afford to purchase a hardware wallet. On that note, i have a suggestion on how your wallet can be safe from hackers. I have always noticed wallets that get easily hacked are those that are subject to public view.
Try as much as possible to have a separate cold wallet address that you do not copy and paste the private key, and neither do you share the address with anyone. You can use it to store most of your valuable coins.
Even if you want to transfer any coin or token to an address belonging to another person, first transfer it to your public wallet before sending it out.
Before create new wallet, same advice for all. Do not copy and paste, don't take screenshot of your public key or 12 phases word, don't share with another and don't visit scam sites. Hardware wallet is safe from all problem but extra cost, same extra cost if you move to your public wallet.

Copy paste will make you do the wrong thing to send to others or accidentally you do for many people to know. You should be very careful with that because it is very sensitive
Copy and paste is fine if you know what you are doing and also you know well that your computer is not affected by virus otherwise it could be keylogged and your data will be stolen.
As I've experienced using a hardware wallet is really fine but not really worth it for people who just has few bucks in their address and also the need to always plug your hardware wallet for the sole reason of having the access to your wallet.
Using a desktop wallet or mobile wallet is still relatively fine if you always enable 2 factor authentication or some sort of additional security measures just incase. Honestly, I've never seen people who accidentally paste their privkey and send it to someone else though, the privkey that you copied in the clipboard will easily be replaced everytime you make a new copy of text so that's kinda rare. you could just copy some random text after copy and paste your privkey.
