The end of 2019 is fast approaching, only 2 more newsletters left. What are some things to expect before the year comes to a close?

We are planning to offer Madbyte coin holders a swap to our upcoming token before the end of 2019.

Madbyte coin is a proof-of-work coin based on Litecoin from a 2016 codebase. Litecoin has a large base of miners keeping it very secure. So, it is important for us to consider how we will develop Madbyte to allow us to capture what we are trying to do - how to give us all more features and deliver a secure crypto future. We believe swapping to using a ERC20 token is the path forward for Madbyte.

Well over 100 million Madbyte coins have been distributed through mining, rewards and faucets. Part of the plan going forward when making changes to madbyte is to slow down distribution drastically by not having the mining option available anymore. The main way distribution will happen is through staking rewards in the MadCap system.

In the next couple of newsletters, we will layout our plans in more detail. For the latest information go to our Discord channel found through our website. We will be giving regular updates there as we go into this process.
