Remember, that everything what is connected to the internet is dangerous. Fortunately, we have the option to keep our private keys always offline, thanks to hardware wallet devices. 
I have never used the internet to open my wallet, save my private key on a computer device that is very safe compared to having to use extensions in the browser.
