In the end, whatever you end up doing, it will cost you something. Centralized payment processors charge a fee, and BTCPay server requires you to pay for a hosting plan.
with almost (if not) exactly the same functionality. Atleast- that's what i've read about it.
And they run on a donation based model-- so, 100% free. Of course there's some trade offs versus running your own node. ->
