Except Ukraine was not informed of the funding being held when he made the phone call, thus there is no way it could have been interpreted as being used as leverage over them because they were not aware of it. He probably did know the investigation was opening again, and wanted to make it clear to the new president that not only would he not resist the investigation, he wanted it to happen.
Are you saying you think that the investigation had been reopened
and ongoing during the phone call, and Trump was fully aware that the investigation was ongoing at the time.
It's not impossible I guess, but it seems very unlikely.
Do we know exactly when/if the investigation was officially reopened? Was it March? Or do we just know that they were planning on it in Feb.
What I am saying is it doesn't matter and I don't care. The important part is the dems got baited into exposing their own crimes.
