I think they are efficient enough to implement blockchain. In youre crypto life, ever wonder why most project using telegram as a social platform for communicating on many audience? Cause its goof and very useful, imagine if blockchain will be integrated now on their social app? It's gonna boost a lot more than what they can offer the community.
they have already started testing payments in their platform, with payment bot you can sell your products and get paid in your group/channel, its just matter of time when we see crypto there
Telegram and Facebook are in my opinion both social media who want to dive into the world of crypto. But between the two, only telegrams might be realized. Because before Facebook told the community that they were hampered by existing regulations. But I think between the two there are differences, where Facebook will issue its own currency, namely Libra, and TON telegram.
libra is hard to believe that it can grow easily, as we saw all payment platforms had withdraw after sec/congrass warnings, but as they have a large number of users already, they may be able to pull out some success
I have read today that SEC has restricted all US investors to take part in Telegram token sales, means that around 25 percent of big investors would need to take their funds back, which would harm the project in general and maybe even postpone the release date.
they can restrict anyone, while there is not sales anymore, no one will participate in anything. means sec has restricted something that doesnt even exists,
its just showing manner, nothing more is in that announcement to harm anyone
