You are right of course.. we're all dependent on bitcoin atm.. if bitcoin falls, we fall.
Right now the biggest downside to bitcoins mass adoption is the anonymity, yes the philosophy behind bitcoin is almost anarchistic...but things will have to change a little before bitcoin becomes
I don't quite agree with this.. i think bitcoin's anonymity is a big deal, and governments will be scared by it.. but tbh, they will have to accept it. This is a case where technology will change the government and the status quo, not the other way around. We will have to find new ways of reducing criminal activity.. but this is not necessarily through the control of monetary tokens. The government will develop new technologies to combat these things, i'm sure.. NSA snooping.. etc. But to heavily regulate a decentralized system like this, is like trying to regulate TOR.. Imo, it will be doomed for failure...
If there's anything history teaches us, is that nothing will stop technology... only the society will adapt to it. Governments will come and go.., empires will rise and fall. But the tech will always improve. And the bitcoin concept is one of those key technological innovations of the future that takes us another step forward.
