Which exchange is how much reliable this is another criteria for list as a exchange in coinmarketcap. Looking shit exchanges will be denied. But recently i saw a lot of thread regarding CMC manipulation they showing many fake things such as fake volume is one of them and exchange ranking. So that now a lot of people no more trust it. I think coingecko

Getting listed on coingecko is more easy. But the problem lies with community/ users. They more prefer seeing the project on CMC.
The first think on their mind is CMC, not listed on CMC is not good. Maybe in next 2 years user will be able to see coingecko on par with CMC, but at the moment CMC still the king.
Project listed on coinmarketcap also show timing in the low level we cannot touch sure whether it has been listed on coingecko or coinmarketcap.
most of the listing site requires good community which is interactive to the team.
