have you ever heard about the 4 kinds of luck discussed by Naval?
it's really interesting subject:

Quote
The 4 types of luck, in cliches:

1. Dumb luck (random)

2. Fortune favors the bold (action)

3. Chance favors the prepared mind (preparation)

4. Extreme people get extreme results (unique action)

Ways to get lucky:

• Hope luck finds you.

• Hustle until you stumble into it.

• Prepare the mind and be sensitive to chances others miss.

• Become the best at what you do. Refine what you do until this is true. Opportunity will seek you out. Luck becomes your destiny.

so,there's luck that finds you, but you can also work on something and learn how to be luckier.

[this post definitely deserves a merit]
I haven't heard about that but for someone who doesn't have technical knowledge about those different kinds of luck will understand that it's not with us all of the time. The problem starts if you keep on hustling and nothing ever happened finding your luck.

This gives false hope to the gambler and this can lead someone to become being broke.

The steps provided here are also gambles especially that fortune favors the bold. This very statement have ruined many lives because they applied this saying to their gambling activity. All the other steps involve luck so relying on luck is not something we can call a profession and it does not guarantee persistent wins in the long run.I have not seen a single individual making a living from gambling except the pokerstars players in Tv.
