For the most part, it's only the old hands from the 2013 cycle and prior who are bullish. I see a lot of my 2015 self in the current crop of bears. One typical multi-month pullback and all of sudden we're headed to the earth's core. It's classic early bull market sentiment in play.
Remember two important things about chart patterns. None of them are fool-proof......most perform in the 50-70% range. The other thing is a pattern's breakout can be reversed much more strongly than you might expect:

Sometimes time-abused technicals are the only way to get people to get rid of their bitcoin. People with no integrity selling because a pattern tells them to do so. Hence why those patterns form, the weak hands do not get the rewards.
