im not sure if you can get those experts easily but it's better to use reddit. If you are wanna get a serious discussion and create a thread in the announcement section will not help you a lot consider so many troll there.
It's much better to get a better place such.
But at least it's much better to gain the interest for your project and more people will come and start to discuss about that.
I often use reddit to get a better discussion.

It's also not a bad thing to create your own announcement thread, if people are interested with your project and the result of your R&D and they will come to ask you directly and start to discuss about your vision.
