It is very surprising that this cryptocurrency is still alive, despite the promoters severing any connections with its continued development. For those who don't know the history of Dogecoin, it was created by Billy Markus and Jackson Palmer in 2013 December as a parody coin to mock the success of Bitcoin. They never expected Doge to grow so big.

Both Markus and Palmer ended their association with Dogecoin many years back and they no longer hold any coins in their wallet. There have been virtually no development during the past few years. But even then, this coin has managed to build a very large and loyal userbase for itself. Who knows? Doge may survive for another 5-10 years and may even overtake coins such as Cardano and Ripple.
