That's because most forum users aren't fans of reading and you can see that when they drop their replies on a topic been discussed, most of what they'll say has already been written by previous contributors to that discussion and they would had noticed that if they had taken some time to read through the thread. Video are a better medium to pass on an information as it's a visual presentation that doesn't read viewers to do much than just listen therefore, I would say he (video creator) did a great good overall (timing+presentation).
