A lot of us here love sports and we are betting at the same time.
I am not successful in this kind of venture but I would love to know from people here on what they do in order to win.
They say that sports betting has no house edge, but why is it it's still hard to win here?
Yes there is no house to bet against but it's still unpredictable when using only intuition. There are so many factors involved like the team and there are also some politics involved.
I know someone managed to make a killing on horse race betting using an algorithm but I don't know if someone has already applied that to competitive games like soccer.
What makes everything complicated in sports betting are the odds. Normally, you will bet between two teams or players. It should be as simple as choosing between yes or no, or true or false, but since the betting site will make it appear as if both opposing sides have the equal probability of winning, everything gets muddy. The thing that confuses me most of the time in sports betting is not really the teams or the players playing but the point spread, or the plus and minus the betting site assigns to them.
