any reason for cryptsy to add this coin when volume is low and it just keeps getting dumped?
I don't see why not, there are a lot of frankly WORTHLESS coins on Cryptsy right now. At least this one has a low enough coin cap to actually soar to true value instead of all the "billions and billions" get rich quick pump and dump coins floating around.
It has a bigger volume than a lot of other coins with larger marketcaps
What does it take to get Cryptsy to add a coin (Smartcoin in this case)? Of course we can vote like many did. But does it have criteria like it needs to have this much volume, added already to other exchanges etc etc. Or is it just quite random? And if Cryptsy adds Smartcoin what will be the next big or bigger exchange?
That's a great question. I'm going to keep trying to gain insight into this, but from what I can tell they don't really have a concrete framework in place or set criteria that need to be met (again, that just my general impression from interactions I've had with staff). That being said, I'll keep looking into it and provide some clarity when it arises. It is strange, however, that SmartCoin is on 8 exchanges, but not Cryptsy.
