Any amount which you think is sufficient will not be sufficient though. Mankind is greedy and you will never satisfy on a certain amount and always wish for more. Only the death can calm our wishes and greed.

Having said that you think a certain amount is good for the next of your life which even you don't know how many years more ? A disease or any mishap/accident in life can make your estimates wrong specially in the older age.
