You cannot hold your assets indefinitely. You should be able to make a profit on time.
The ability to buy an asset on time and then sell it on time is a whole science. I am just starting to master it, but of course you are right the asset should work. You cant buy it and keep it on your wallet all the time.
Here a lot of people participate in leasing program and they have to freeze tokens to get extra profit for leasing. They do not have ability to sell tokens.
