When you're an anti-social shut-in that hasn't seen his own dick since 1995, the reward is simply knowing you were responded to. That's obviously the closest he ever comes to connecting with other humans.
I mean, social security pays for a caretaker to visit him on Wednesdays and sponge bathe his underparts, but roach knows well enough to shut his mouth during the process, unless he wants another beating from Leroy.
