@notbatman,
Stop shitting here please, Buy a telecope, get some vacation to the beach,
if the earth is flat, you'll be able to see the other continent and evrything there

You're a pretty shitty child if you think you can see extreme distances through the atmosphere, you can barely even see mountain ranges in the distance through the blue haze. I haven't even touched on refraction and the angular resolution limit of the zoom lens and I've already dubunked your shit-for-brains claim.

It's you that needs to stop dropping deuces here, get a Nikon P900 and go to the beach! Simply watching a boat disappear past the horizon with the naked eye then pulling it back into full view with a P900 debunks the globe.

Look. The answer to this is simple.

Fly a passenger-carrying, hot air balloon to a height of a couple hundred feet. Fly it as far away as you can so that you can still barely see it through the natural, atmosphere haze... if it hasn't dropped out of sight over the horizon, that is. The people in the balloon see you just like you see them.

You have radio contact. The people in the balloon use a transit to measure the angle between you and a distant, visible object that is on the exact opposite side of the balloon as you are, and exactly as far away as you are from the balloon.

If the transit angle is only the size that an angle would be on flat land regarding the height of the balloon, then the earth is flat or flat-ish. If it is greater, the curvature of the earth can be determined from what the angle is, minus the balloon height angle. This whole project can be done much easier from the top of a small mountain rather than a balloon.

If anyone wants to prove flat earth or globe earth, let him do this project, or find where people have done it. Actually, this or similar has been done long ago - https://flatearthinsanity.blogspot.com/2016/09/how-al-biruni-calculated-circumference.html.

Find additional similar doings.

Cool

Jeezus dude,
If you spent half the time investigating your sky fairy nonsense as you do to replying to batty's flat earth drivel in here,
you'd have figured out years ago that your imaginary friend is just as imaginary as a flat earth.

Then again, after seeing all the nonsense you post in other threads...maybe not...

I lost 80.1% of my brain cells reading this topic. It was a fun afternoon. Thanks guys Cheesy

Well, only another 19.9% to go, and you can be a flat earther, just like batty....

If you sat down and thought about the stuff I tell you about what you call a sky fairy, youd see the thing that scientists are too proud to suggest.

Remember the beginning of the Star Trek movie, Star Trek: Into Darkness? Remember how Kirk and Bones are running through a jungle, running from a primitive race? When the Enterprise lifted out of the ocean, the primitive race saw it. The Enterprise was barely on its way into space, but the primitives were already drawing a picture of the Enterprise in the dirt with a stick.

Did the drawing fly? Did it have any of the powers of the real Enterprise? No. It was just a drawing.

Consider the complexity of the earth and life around us. Consider the ways we use it to make our complex things. Why is it that you can't even imagine that there is a God far above us, like the real enterprise was far above the primitive drawing. Why do you say that this doesn't make sense when the possibility of it is shown in comparing us with microbes?

You better step back and think this one over well. Because it means your life if you get it wrong.
