Have to agree here. This is just procedural nonsense. They won't succeed in impeaching him but they are hoping to land a big enough blow to hurt his chances in next year's election. Is this really going to sway a firmly entrenched base? Wouldn't put any money on that.
They need to give it up. Luckily old age is a factor with a lot of these nutjobs, so nature will begin to take its course over the next decade assuming we're all still here to observe that.
They can't really find solid evidence against him so they'll just do these media circuses where they can plant doubt into people's head. Most adult (hopefully) would already be familiar with this.
As for the nutjobs, that'll only happen if they don't reproduce AND they stop indoctrinating more kids. Seriously, banning clapping on graduations. It's getting crazier out there.
