they got hashing because of their publicity, people know about them and supply hashing and volume, but no one knows about cash and it's slowly decaying. Now it isn't profitable in any way, only if it'll get pumped hard

Then stop CPU mining it. It's just as profitable currently as all the top coins on coinwarz for me.

Anyone new coming here and seeing the above quotes, please disregard them, they're not true. except awareness which we're working on and it's coming.

Dude, you need to point out that you're using *nix, otherwise people will assume you can find the answer in this thread somewhere. It's been answered so many times for windows.
I can't help, I've not put a wallet on nix yet, all I can say is that with the cash.conf in the OP I get the usual 8 node connections and syncs fine.
Were there no errors in the compile, I can only imagine it's that or as you ask, a firewall issue, but that would effect other wallets too you have.
