Maybe this will help: I have earned 4009 Merit until today. That's enough for 16 Supervotes for the DT1-election! Meanwhile, I have 17 users included on my Trust list. Several of them don't qualify for DT1 because they don't have enough users on their own Trust list. This means I give a supervote for all other users on my list, and I have Supervotes to spare! This means I can hand-pick users from my Rank up pipeline to enter them onto DT1! It's the kind of power theymos used to have before the changes to DefaultTrust, now handed to me
I'd should be exhilarated with power, if only I would care about it.
