I checked Zeux and the volume is all faked, the real volume is easy to spot by looking at sites that kick you out if you get caught by wash trading.
For example Ferrum trading volume in Binance Dex is $168 / 24h, that seems pretty accurate.

But you are correct on that you can only trust yourself, just consider to listen to people if they have been active in this space longer. We don't know everything but you can get some insights by being around, the intuition just works better when everything is not new to you.
