Actually there is nothing new except Bitcoin implement a decentralized immutable records of transaction for transparency and with regards to paper money, I agree that it will eventually become obsolete just like the barter trading pero it will take probably centuries pa kasi marami pang bansa ang walang kakayanan para sa cashless society.

Indeed hindi lang volume ang sinasabi dun sa tweet but the thing is majority ng transaction na iyan ay posibleng nanggaling sa exchanges. Like nung sinabi sa earlier reply, it includes the Ins and out so ibig sabihin, possible na nadoble ang bilang ng isang bitcoin transaction. It would be great if they provide a detailed statistics.
