Hmm, this indeed sounds rather attractive. And let's say, if there is the situation, when users are just posting to earn with poor-quality articles - won't this affect the interested towards the platform? Cause you know, such things often happen
As far as I know, there is an automated process of quality check. So articles will be published after meeting GCNews basic standards of quality, originality, and legitimacy. And I believe there will be a report button as well
This is actually the beauty of the reward system...
Writers use their credits to *boost* their ranking and earn priority to have articles published to earn more credits rather than cashing them out into CALL (it isn't a one-and-done upvote - this will be more of a staking process).
Readers *have a chance* to earn credits for reading due to limits that will be imposed for each article. A kind of staking of CALL will be implemented to earn priority on getting to the articles first.
Sponsored articles will be more of a supplemental revenue for GCA, of which we will use a percentage to buy back CALL tokens from the open market (at undisclosed times).
Since writers can still read (last time I checked, haha) this is the beauty of the reputation competitions because authors of articles can read other authors' content and get rewarded. It's a beautiful cycle for all users to compete and stake their CALL to create and consume the best, most authentic, genuine, popular, and trending content in order to earn more. Nobody enjoys fake news or the manipulation and frankly, I think most are pretty tired of it.
GCNews.io and its reward system will be one where news & content will be valued by the writers and readers in the same breath, instead of traditional news outlets where the value is focused into the ads and sponsored articles. With our reward system, the public market gets the power to value the content. The more writers, the more publications, the more readers, the more awareness, and inevitably the more advertisements and other news publishers will come knocking - and even then... GCA will be utilizing a buy-back-mechanism (again, at undisclosed times) with a percentage of that revenue so that CALL token holders get the most benefits as possible from their holdings.
And I'll add one more thing here... with how data can be shared between ERC777-based smart contracts when transacting with CALL token and its Batch Transfer Capability, take a moment and imagine what kind of additional use cases could come about.
And none of the above is even considering all the competitions that we will host, which require CALL to vote and participate! It truly is a WIN-WIN-WIN.
