Indeed, just a bunch of shitcoin bagholders who get pissed when you dis their garbage bag of choice. (Paycoin Anybody?)
I had not heard of that before so thank you for mentioning it.
I will look in to the history of the situation when I get time. It seems to be going back a long time but well worth getting to know about some of the old-time scams when Bitcoin had less value.
Coincidentally another scam Carsen was involved in, and one I'm very familiar with.
For all you youngsters: Paycoin was a $10 million ponzi scheme (like 20k BTC at the time, which is... well, a lot of bitcoins) back in 2014 and Carsen built a scam site for them that promised to redeem worthless paycoins for $20 a pop. Obviously that didn't happen, the main scammer (Homero Garza) is now serving a slap-on-the-wrist federal sentence somewhere in Texas, and accomplices are claiming that they just did what they were told and bear no responsibility. There is also a related class action lawsuit involving a Wall Street banker. I hope Carsen's name will pop up in some court documents, maybe he'll even get his 3 minutes of fame on the witness stand.
I wonder how much of that $10 million was confiscated.
If any of the scammers were imprisoned over the scam then it is great news because it shows the authorities are taking a look in to complaints when victims raise the alarm.
