ZAP!

You seem to missing the point energy expended is a non-issue, it is the top 4 mining pool operators that are securing the coin.
Which make the energy waste even worse, because it is pointless.

You can ignore the solution, but ignoring PoW failures are what is going to bite everyone in the end.

Again someone else claims PoS has problems, funny no one can name them.  Cheesy

I list bitcoin PoW problems and no one can fix them.

Just oh well screw the environment , our 10 year old bitcoin can't get itself out of beta mode ever.
People keep making excuses for bitcoin like it is their underdeveloped cousin that pooped itself on the bus.
You can make excuses but the situation still stinks.

Bitcoin Devs think so little of bitcoin, they create a 3rd party network to try and fix it,
but here is the funny thing LN does nothing to fix the energy waste, does not increase the onchain transaction capacity,
all it will really do is deprive miners of onchain fees, * it is like the devs forgot fees are how the miners are going to have to support themselves as the reward halving continues.  Tongue
* Funnier Still , Lightning Network works better with Litecoin than bitcoin. *
