Every thing is being developed. Every device is finally replaced by a newer one. Why no altcoin has replaced bitcoin till now? Do you think it will happen in the future?
I personally think people will trust what Satoshi has created more than altcoins till many years later.
Altcoins are created to make the developers rich. But bitcoin is different. Bitcoin was created in favor of us. So, no altcoin can be trusted as bitcoin.

I don't know why people want to replace Bitcoin this early, in the first place all Bitcoin is not yet mined and BItcoin is just starting to be adopted,
still, many of people do not know what Bitcoin is and how it works, so why replace something that is the flag carrier or the father of all coins, we cannot compare Bitcoin to a cellphone or a TV or a car, the comparison is far fetched.
In fact, there are many already popular altcoins, but of course for the most ordinary people, bitcoin is by ear. Sooner or later, bitcoin will be replaced by a more technological and faster coin. My opinion.
