Did your friend's 4314 YAC ever show up at BTER? My transfer finally showed up after two emails and over 24 hours... I hope it did, that's a lot of YAC to lose. 
yes they're credited now, but what good is that if the rate has plunged to 0.000032 in the mean time?
An exchange is supposed to provide quick deposits, so one can react to market developments. But this
is just ridiculous. They way they handle this requires you to have significant amount of currency parked
at the exchange at all times.
