Several times they burned tokens. But they have a LPoS mining and the number of the tokens increased. It is issued 2 670 646 025 EDC from Total Supply 5 330 754 415 EDC.

I do not understand why it is necessary to burned tokens if they have mining and issuer new tokens for the participants of leasing program.

In my opinion, it is obvious that the issue does not exceed a certain amount of coins. New coins from the leasing program are received by users and coins that the project buys are burned.
