That's harmful generalisation, I see quite significant amount of reasonable people here. Of course those who are not, are shouting the loudest, maybe this is why you have this impression? Silent majority is still doing the usual, following their own goals and business, no panic, no desperation  and some even take enormous pleasure from just standing aside and looking how others rage...
One of the finest community have risen here, but that's just my opinion. Look around you, places like this are basically gone due to facebook etc. At least consider having a bit better opinion about it, it could be a whole lot worse.
