The current currencies are 4849 and Markets are 20850 according to the CMC. Is this really working fairly? I think if it was altered, it would better to get more volume and liqudity. Still thinking, the future of Exchangaes.
I think that with the advent of DEXs, a lot of the more incompetent centralised exchanges will be wiped out as a matter of time.
So no, there are a lot of exchanges that are completely unregulated and surviving off altcoins that have very low liquidity and a lack of markets elsewhere, creating a niche for themselves that way. Once these alts start dying, the exchanges will also die alongside them.
Don't be surprised either if DEXs become very popular in the next decade or so, and have a very detrimental impact on the popularity of platforms who don't have a decentralised exchange developed by that stage.
