is that wallet still good?
Good or bad is relative. I always advice people to keep their private coins private. That is use a desktop wallet to store coins and not a online service. I am sure you being a long timer would remember what happened to MtGox at one time.

and Does it matter which country I am in for wallet.
Your country is irrelevant for wallet. But to use their other services like buying and selling crypto you would need to be located in one of their supported countries.

I registered with coinsquare  as a platform to buy bitcoins, but I heard  that it can take up to 4 days to  move BTC from there after purchase, is that true, I remember on localbitcoins it used to be much quicker but the price was higher obviously, so is coinsquare the best way to buy bitcoins for Canadians.
Alternative to LBC is now localcryptos previously started as localEthereum. However check your local residential friends who are also using bitcoin as to what exchange they commonly use. North America countries are supported by many exchanges so you should not have any trouble with this if you do some inquiry. I cant help you more on this.
