It is quite possible to prove, but it is unlikely that anyone will be able to do it. 
"I hope" Satoshi died and i have knowledge pointing to that conclusion (in terms of Bitcoin well beign of course, not human tragedy)It would only harm Bitcoin if he would reveal himself. Bitcoin is safe because there is no CEO. It is possible to prove for real Satoshi that he is Satoshi.
