I don't agree that stupidity is so close to Poverty, this is  because Not all people who are poor that are stupid, and not all Rich people are not stupid. If a poor man is given the opportunity to have access to money, it will surprise many people the great transformation that will happen to that individual. In other way some of the rich are not seen to be stupid because they employ advisers and many such around them that help correct, and make their stupid acts not visible to the society. A rich man was invited to an occasion to deliver the opening speech as the Chairman of the occasion,despite the speech have been written and  given to him for  over a week to the Event,Yet he could not read the speech, what would you call that. so if opportunity comes the way of the poor and the person in question fails to use the opportunity wisely then such are the people that can be said to be stupidly close to poverty. But let this fact be known that Stupidity may not be  directly  link to Poverty, it is the way the society tends to see it. It is a two way thing, it can be link to either the Rich and also the Poor, depending on their Character display.
