There are many experts who still believe that altcoins will return.  But in fact it is not possible.  Perhaps in the long run some altcoins will be removed from the market because it cannot grow on its own depending on BTC to survive.  The top altcoins may have already taken measures to face this challenge, try to store a lot of them for the time being and hope they come back.
