They probably tried to be accepted by an exchange, but I guess they didn't pay enough for even the most shady exchange to create a market for their "token".
Of course, any exchange would demand payment on real tokens, not on theirs.

I have used the exchange , nothing works , orders weren't processing , until my fund got lost at all , lucky it was only a little amount for testing...
