Maybe they are not just not aware of how to properly use the quote button  .

I remember when I was starting to familiarize myself on how the forum works especially the quote button, I am very confused about how other users quote a specific line or phrase of other people because whenever I click the quote button there are lots of text and unfamiliar symbols. I didn't know that it was possible to delete a specific text to highlight a specific phrase that I wanted to reply to.

It's funny that I used to experiment with other people's post just to know how to reply to a specific part.
