I never imagined that this thread would have its very own Master Chronicler! That's amazing VB1001.
It is a shame not to have more knowledge of the language, this story has a lot of play to make a fun and enjoyable article.
I just try to collect lost information in the thread's funds and rescue it in some way so that it is always available.
Anyway we are talking about the thread with more volume of posts in the forum.

I though genuinely that the hat mania had to do with the corn nickname so common in the thread.
Being those hat very like the one used by the corn farmer in the Midwest I thought that those were the one most interested in nurturing the different, digital corn.
But I was wrong apparently.

I've always been interested in hats because of the direct link with WO = BTC = HAT
I knew more or less the origin and knew the date of the first hat of xhomer10 / Hairy, but had not looked for the how and why of the hat.
@VB1001 very very nice to write the start of the HAT story, though its micgoossens
