Bitcoin I think is already a re-invention of cash for a cashless society. Why does paper need to be part of the equation?
I totally agree. But there are several reasons why I made this virtual currency. The most obvious is freedom and anonymity. And you should be able to use your money, just like the old gold certificates without having to rely heavily on technology. If you combine the cashless society or digital currency (fiat),social credit score, surveillance, biometrics and the fact that you need to trust the manufacturers of hardware and network providers, it becomes really hard to create a virtual currency with the features of paper money.
I must point out that my main focus is on the technical aspect of building this framework. I don't know what the future will bring.
