Whether you, Royse777, mean to imply that there is a Cantillon effect problem in the smerit supply or if there is some other kind of other devolution into infinite printing of smerits in favor of the admins those are interesting empirical questions upon which we do not really have the answers.

My suspicion is that there is almost no way (unless I am understanding the situation incorrectly) that theymos merely had all those smerits in his reserve bank.  Of course, he had likely not been spending his smerits on a regular 30 day basis, so those smerits would have frequently been expunged by the system's algorithm.  However, half of any of the smerits that he earned since January 2018 would have been just building up in his personal smerit bank.  Accordingly, I believe that the most reasonable inference is that he manually increased his own smerit allocation, whether that was a short-term increase or a longer term inflation of the smerit supply (with the implication that he is going to begin to spend more smerits on a regular basis) is still unknown - unless he disclosed his thinking in the direction of his future smerit spending intentions.  (maybe I should do a quick research into the matter by stalking theymos's past posts?  nah.. I am just going to speculate and throw it out there as a tentative theory.... hahahahaha).



Oh?  you are just concerned about your own smerit allocation.  I thought that you had just become an smerit source, and I thought that theymos had just increased the smerit allocations of almost all smerit sources.  Therefore, it seems way too premature to publicly request an increase in your own smerit allocation, unless you have some kind of personal circumstances that were overlooked?  Anyhow, I am thinking that when theymos assigned you as an smerit source, he already considered how much he would allocate to your source, and so it would likely be better to just try that out for a while, before asking for an increase in your smerit allocation.  Am I missing something?
