What else other than because of the difficulty bomb? probably, it will get worse than this in the next few days. 2.8PHI am not sure either, but we should see some news in the next few days later talking about this sudden increase in the difficulty.

just need one day for ethereum to get a huge increase in its difficulty again and it will break 3 PH in a few days later.
I believe more miners from another altcoin over to the ethereum as there was an explanation of POS will not come very soon and it may take years from now
