Are you able to prove that the wallet is yours? How did you just "forget it"? I would assume most people that are holding a sum that great would not just "forget" their password.
well there is even this certain person that throw away a harddisk containing 7500 BTC and even in this forum alone many people actually encounter the same problem which is forgetting their password from wallet.dat you can try to search it up so yeah, forgetting it is possible and those early birds who hold bitcoin from the time when bitcoin is not popular some of them have this problem...
