Many investors including myself prefer to invest in altcoin because they are still very cheap and i can get many bags as i want, many investors are into altcoins because they have missed the bitcoin opportunity, now not everyone can afford a single bitcoin and they see opportunity in other coins
We are on the opposite side, the majority of my investment is in bitcoin and that is the top of my priorities. Altcoins also may good but those altcoins that have the potential to invest like the top 20 ranking altcoins in Coins Market Cap. Bitcoin will stand alone and that's is the reason why until now Bitcoin has existed and it becomes in the mainstream not just simple altcoins. Bitcoin will survive no matter there is no altcoins behind and believed if altcoins can't survive without bitcoin.
