An upgrade in Ethereum might have a positive impact on the cryptocurrency, which in turn might bring about an increase in price. As to what ETH price would be at the end of 2020, cannot be said, but there would be hope for the altcoin to attain a 2k range, if only it can reach its previous peak it attained in 2017.
I think it's safe to say there's not going to be anything bit releasing for it by the end of the month. Therefore, I expect more of the same that we've gotten this whole month. Not much movement. It won't be until the heat of the next bull run that we could possibly see those 2017 prices again. If the new update comes out and we're in the middle of a bull run, we could see even higher prices than that all time high. It's going to all depend on the hype surrounding ETH and how the market is performing at the time of release.
