Mining is just a way to get rewards for mining. How can we say that this is control? In my opinion this guy says nonsense, I do not see anything wrong in Chinese and their interaction with the Bitcoin network
That is because we're fixated in the fact that if you own something that means it's your possession. Tho these words are true, but in the case of cryptocurrency, it's actually not. It's like the stocks in a corporation, even tho a person owns the majority (by percentage) of the stocks, it doesn't mean that the person completely owns the corporation. But then again, in that case that person is probably in charge, hence the one who controls (most of it, that is). But for the case of cryptocurrency, no one really controls it, in fact, everyone has its own share (that's the beauty of cryptocurrency) so everyone possesses something but doesn't really translate as complete control.
