Just to start with numbers & highlight the seriousness of the issue – there were around 40K gun deaths in 2017 alone which was 1000 more than the year before. What I think, the goal should be simple and clear to reduce overall number of guns available with masses, especially the ones considered weapons of war like AKs and Semis. Policy and amendments’ must be in place to reduce market desire for new weapons.
