In his case it was probably a good move to request a name change to try and get away from the drama associated with him in the past year and make kinda a fresh start. I guess Theymos is feeling generous lately?
I would imagine that as long as theymos isn't bombarded with requests and you have a good reason, you have a decent chance at a change.
